An earthquake was felt in Manila at around 6:30 pm yesterday. According to Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Philvolcs), the earthquake has a magnitutude of 5.7 with Tectonic origin.
In a interview television interview with Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum, he said that the people should not panic because the earthquake is not related to Japan's recent earthquake that has a magnitude of 8.9.
"Siyempre ang paalala lang itong mga lindol na ito ay maliliit pa lamang, kung malalaki dapat paghandaan," further added by Solidum.
As of today, there were no recorded damages to property and cause of death.
Here are the reported intensities in the different areas in Luzon that felt the earthquake.
Intensity IV - Manila City; Marikina City; Talisay, Batangas; Tagaytay City
Intensity III - Quezon City; Alabang; Makati; Taguig; Malabon; Bacoor, Cavite; Lubang Island;San Jose, Mindoro Occ.; Abra de Ilog;Calapan, Mindoro Occ.
Intensity II - Lucban, Quezon; Plaridel, Bulacan; Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; Baguio City

5.2 Earthquake Felt In Central Luzon Philippines
A 5.0 magnitude earthquake shook some location of Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon 6:30 pm Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) confirmed.
Initial PHIVOLCS experiences point out that the earthquake registered Depth V in Zambales, Depth III in Pasig, Depth II in Malate, and Depth 1 in Clark.
In its web site, Phivolcs mentioned an earthquake additionally took place round 4 35 pm, with the epicenter 44 kilometers of Iba, Zambales.
Dr. Renato Solidum mentioned that they will give more particulars as soon as these arrive.
No damages or casulaties have been reported.
