House eyes approval of emergency powers for PNoy before end of 2014

With Luzon facing a looming power shortage next year, the majority bloc in the House of Representatives will exert all its efforts to expedite the approval of the joint resolution granting President Benigno Aquino III emergency powers before the end of 2014, House Majority Floor Leader Neptali Gonzales II said Sunday.
