Ex-Comelec exec, election lawyer question voting in malls

Former election commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal and lawyer Romulo Macalintal both pointed Section 155 of the Omnibus Election Code, which prohibits setting up a polling precinct inside a public or private building owned by candidates, political parties or their relatives by consanguinity or affinity; as well as buildings controlled by a private entity, political party or religious groups. However, the Comelec has said that it will not hold elections in malls owned by politicians and government officials.
