SC junks media plea vs. Arroyo-time ‘prior restraint’ order

The Supreme Court has junked a petition against a memorandum circular issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in 2006 following the lifting of the state of emergency warning broadcast media against reporting on sensitive issues during times of crisis.
