DOH: Fewer firecracker-related injuries but more amputations after New Year revelry

The number of fireworks-related injuries on New Year's Eve declined but the the number of victims that needed amputation increased, GMA News' "24 Oras" reported on Thursday.

DOH exec: Stay away from ‘unexploded’ firecrackers 

Don't approach firecrackers left over from the New Year celebration because they might suddenly explode and cause injury. If wounded by an exploding firecracker, get anti-tetanus shots.
