Jenny, Dennis move forward

Monday, August 15, 2011

STARSTRUCK alumna Jennylyn Mercado embarks a new chapter in her showbiz career, as she hosts upcoming show "Protege: The Battle for the Big Break."

This reality-talent show will be the actress’ first serious hosting stint on television and Jennylyn revealed she's a bit nervous of what will happen in the next couple of weeks.

"Kailangan kong pag-aralan ‘yung klaseng attack ‘yung gagawin ko while on stage hosting. Excited ako kasi bago and isa siyang reality show."

Jennylyn shared she constantly asks "Showbiz Central" and "Eat Bulaga" host Pia Guanio what to do and not to do when hosting this kind of project.

The single mother is learning lots of things in hosting and open to new challenges and opportunities in this line of work.

"I think this is a new world for me. First time kong sasabak sa ganitong hosting job na talagang serious. Kaya nakakatuwa and at the same time siyempre kinakabahan din ako."

Like Jennylyn, her ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo also moves forward and is currently doing a movie with Jake Cuenca, Lovi Poe and Carla Abellana under Regal Films entitled "My Neighbor's Wife."

According to Dennis, he's more focused now with work and will remain single for a while.

Dennis also revealed he's ready to meet Jennylyn again but he's not too sure if they could work together this soon.

The Superstar also revealed that when the project was offered to her while she's staying in the US, she immediately confirmed her participation because she believes in the project and looking forward to working with Governor ER Ejercito.

Aunor added that she dedicated her 10 days to just shoot the movie, which was the main reason she went back home in Manila.

Meanwhile, Aunor shed light on reports that she accepted the movie so that she can make peace with former President Joseph Estrada.

The veteran actress said that the misunderstanding that took place between her and Erap should remain in the past and everyone should move forward.

To recall the two had a rift after the Superstar supported the opposition group that ousted the former President during the People Power 2. (Sunnex)
